Seachtain na Gaeilge 2024

By Teacher

Seachtain na Gaeilge is promoted each year in our school leading up to Saint Patrick’s Day. We celebrate in so many ways, such as using online resources and classroom games, singing songs and reciting Irish poetry. We also enjoy playing the tin whistle and performing some Irish dancing. We really concentrate on making our ceolchoirm enjoyable for everyone by working on our class level performances and our school band performances for weeks leading up to Seachtain na Gaeilge. We also make a special effort to display Seachtain na Gaeilge and Lá Fhéile Pádraig art in the school hall for our ceolchoirm. Every year we invite parents, guardians and grandparents to come celebrate with us in our school hall, to be part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge ceolchoirm celebrations from 9am – 12:30pm. It’s always a wonderful occasion. Once again, we had a fantastic turnout of parents, guardians and grandparents to join in our celebrations this year.

Please take a look at some photos showcasing our Seachtain na Gaeilge ceolchoirm performances. Bain taitneamh as Lá Fhéile Pádraig!

Mise le meas,

Mr. McDonagh.
