Here in Bushypark National School we are proud to have an active school band. Our band meets on a weekly basis and performs at whole schools events such as our carol service at Christmas and during Seachtain na Gaeilge. The children play a wide variety of instruments such as the banjo, fiddle, concertina and accordion as well as the guitar and tin whistle.We encourage our students to join and take part in one of our local traditional music groups such as Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Salthill/Knocknacarra and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Moycullen in order to further enhance their skills. We are very grateful to all of our own dedicated and talented teachers who help in developing the musical talents in our students.
